We have been lucky in northern Ontario, lots of crown land and unrestricted riding availability. This will not last! Blue Sky Riders was formed to be an active club plus a voice for riders in our area as other trail organizations start to restrict use of some trails. The OFTR is fighting to keep trails open in Ontario but their main activity is in the south where most of the problems are currently.
In order for motorcycles to be included on new trail initiatives you have to be at the table when decisions are made.
Discovery Routes are developing trails in our area and I have been advocatingon the clubs behalf. Next meeting of Discovery Routs is Thursday, June 12 at 15 Janey Avenue, North Bay.
The BSR is struggling with lack of interest right now if you want it you have to participate. Perhaps our President Doug will call a meeting so we can discuss future plans?
